Episode 014: Interview with Greg Bishop

Greg Bishop is a freelance flutist in Boise, Idaho. There he performs as principal flutist with Opera Idaho and is a regular sub with Boise Philharmonic. Greg is principle Flute with the Oregon Coast Music Festival Symphony Orchestra. He has played with the national tours of Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and Sound of Music as well as Idaho Shakespeare Company’s productions of The Secret Garden and Hunchback of Norte Dame. Greg also performs with the crossover jazz ensemble Onomatopoeia and recently premiered Kevin Kirk's Jazz Mass. Before returning to Idaho, he freelanced in Southern California for 13 years where he played Principle Flute with South Coast Symphony and performed with Pacific Symphony and LA Master Choral. He has produced three CDs of original contemporary music. Greg also sings and plays keyboards, Irish whistles and bamboo flutes. 

Greg was certified as a Rolfer at the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in 2000. He continues to practice structural integration, sound healing, myofascial massage and craniosacral therapy. His latest creative passion is photography. Spending time in nature and appreciating the wonders and beauty of the natural world has been a life long passion. Capturing what he sees and sharing it is therapeutic for both Greg and those who follow his creative offerings.
